The foliar applications of GA, SA, 6BA, CCC, methionine and cysteine was studied on the two onion varieties Red N-53 and Local White. The plants were raised in field plots and were treated with Plant Growth Regulators. The chlorophyll content was significantly increased in response to GA, CCC, Methionine and Cysteine applications. The chlorophyll a/b ratio was slightly altered due to Plant Growth Regulators applications while the overall Carotenoid content was slightly decreased in leaves of two onion varieties. The total carbohydrate content was slightly decreased, while total sugars were slightly elevated due to foliar application of Plant Growth Regulators.
