Summary
The field experiment was conducted during 2010-2011 to assess the response of various drip irrigation regimes, viz 60, 80 100 and 120 per cent ET using drip and furrow irrigation, in terms of efficiencies and economics on onion (Alluim cepa L.). The application efficiency was found highest in 60 per cent ET (94.16 %) using drip irrigation than other treatment. The lowest was found in furrow irrigation. The water use efficiency was found highest in 80 per cent ET (22.76 q ha-1cm-1) using drip irrigation then other treatment. The lowest was found in furrow irrigation (7.01 q ha-1cm-1). The highest B: C (5.55) ratio was\n recorded in drip irrigation.
