Summary
A field experiment was conducted during kharif of 2008 on mungbean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek), which consisted of four each of fertility levels (control, 50, 75 and 100% RDF) and bio-organics (control, PSB, vermicompost and PSB+vermicompost). Results showed that application of 75% RDF being at par with that of 100%, significantly increased the plant height, number of branches per plant, dry matter accumulation per meter row length, chlorophyll content, pods per plant, seeds per pod, test weight and yield (seed, straw and biological). Application of vermicompost being at par with PSB+vermicompost, significantly increased plant height, number of branches per plant, dry matter accumulation per meter row length, chlorophyll content, number and dry weight of root nodules per plant, seeds per pod, test weight, yield parameters.
