Summary
Different of plant growth, soil bulk density and pH and root zone microflora of cucumber planted in straw nutrition medium (soil and straw with volume ratio of 2:1) and in soil for 9 crops in the same solar greenhouse were studied. Due to continuous cropping, the two treatments in crop 9 both displayed obstacles, such as slow growth, increase soil bulk density, decreased pH value and reduced microorganism and bacteria. However, the continuous cropping obstacle was less sever in the treatment with nutrition medium, which indicated that nutrition medium could alleviated the continuous cropping obstacle.
