Basella alba popularly known as Malabar Spinach, Indian Spinach is a plant which is used in every household in the southern parts of India. The leaves and stem part of the plant are used in cooking. The plant is found to be versatile in properties. The present study explains the macroscopy and microscopy of the stem of Basella alba.
