Summary
The six basic generations (P1 P2 F1 F2 B1 B2) of two crosses Elephant Trunk (ET) X Perennial (P) and Kolascai E-15 (KE-15) X Perennial were planted in 6 environments consisting of two planting dates and 3 spacings. The estimates of gene effects showed that both additive and dominance gene effects were important for days to fruiting and plant height, where as only additive gene effects for seeding number and average fruit weight. Significant additive X additive, gene effects was obtained for days to fruiting and average fruit weight, additive X dominance and dominance X dominance gene effects were obatined for average fruit weight and plant height.
