Summary
To study the influence of the date of bulb planting, bulb cut and pinching of bolt treatments in onion seed crops, an experiment was carried out at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana, India during 1995-96 and 1996-97. The highest yield and quality of seed was recorded for 15 October bulb planting, which was followed by 30 October. In 15 November bulb planting, a decrease in yield and quality of seed was observed during both years. Bulb cut and pinching of bolt treatments adversely affected the seed yield of onion.
