An experiment was conducted to record the efficacy of ecofriendly insecticides and bait spray against fruitfly infesting fruits of bottle gourd duringsummer se,ason in the years 2001 and 2002 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Among the fifteen treatments schedules the one consisting of NSKE 5%, bait spray (Malation 50 g + molasses 500 g + 50 I water) and cypermethrin applied one after another as per schedule resulted minimum fruit damage by the fruitfly and the control plot exhibited maximum damage of bottle gourd fruits. All the application schedules of insecticides were found effective in reducing the fruit damage over control.
