Summary
Crosses were made among the tomato lines 71B2, C1943, and Anahu R, and the resulting Fl, F2, and backcross generations were observed for early blight in the field. The results suggest that 71B2 contains two or more factors for resistance to the leaf spotting or defoliation phase of early blight, and that these are inherited in a recessive manner.
