Summary
Soyabeans (Glycine max) cv. N6201 (PI 619615), an F6-derived selection from the cross Nakasennari x Young, was released in May 2000 in the USA for its potential use in the Japanese soyfoods export market. N6201 is a large-seeded, maturity group VI cultivar adapted to the South Atlantic Coast and southeastern USA. It is very resistant to pod dehiscence after maturation, and is resistant to frog eye leaf spot caused by Cercospora sojina, bacterial pustule caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. glycines [X. axonopodis pv. glycines] and most strains of soyabean mosaic virus.
