Summary
Lepidopterous pests of cabbage and their parasitoids in Erzurum were investigated in 1987-1990 in a pesticide-free plots. As the result of this study, Plutella xylostella (L.) (Plutellidae), Mamestra brassicae L. (Noctuidae), Pieris brassicae (L.), Artogeia rapae (L.) (Pieridae) Autographa gamma L. (Noctuidae) and Pontia dablidice L. (Pieridae) were found as cabbage pest in Erzurum area. P. xylostella was the most common and high populated pest, peaked at the end of July and at the beginning of August. M. brassicae was the second most important pest. it appeared from the beginning of August to the end of the season. The efficiency of Cotesia (Apanteles) glomeratus (L.) (Hym.., Braconidae) which is larval parasitoid of P. brassicae was 5.20-73.78 %. Lysibia nana Graw. (Hym., Ichneumonidae), Pteromalus semotus Walker (Hym., Pteromalidae) and Tetrastichus galactopus Ratz. (Hym., Eulophidae) were found as parasitoids of C. glomeratus. Pteromalus puparum L. was obtained from the pupae of both P. brassicae and A. rapae. One specimen of Phryxe vulgaris Fallen (Dip., Tachinidae) was determined as pupal parasitoid of A. rapae. Dolichogenidea sicaria (Mars.) D. litae (Nixon) and D. apellator (Tel.)(Hym., Braconidae) were found larval parasitoids of P. xylostella, and efficiency of these three species was 2.34-16.00% Diadegma eucerophaga Horst., Diadromus subtilicornis Gr. and Thyraeella colleris (Gr.) (Hym., Ichneumonidae) were determined as larva-pupa parasitoids of P. xylostella. Efficiency of D. eucerophaga was 5-85%. P. semotus was pupal parasitoid of P. xylostella. Drino imberbis Wiedeman and Voria ruralis Fallen (Dipt., Tachinidae) and C.glomeratus were found as larval parasitoids and Patroclus homecerus W. (Hym., Ichneumonidae) as larval-pupal parasitoid of subtilicornis, T. collaris and P. homocerus are new record for Turkish fauna. [AS]
