Summary
Twelve wild Solanum accessions were tested in the greenhouse at seedling stage for resistance to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. melongenae, the causal agent of Fusarium wilt in eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). S. incanum and S. sodomeum were highly susceptible to fungus attacks, whereas S. sisymbrifolium, S. torvum and Solanum sp. were resistant. In S. integrifolium, S. gilo, S. aethiopicum gr. gilo, S. khasianum and S. macrocarpum there were resistant and susceptible individuals. [AS]
