Summary
Field experiments were conducted at College of Horticulture, Vellanikkara during March to July 1987; August to December 1987 and January to April 1988 to study effects of organic and inorganic fertilizers and their combination on yield and storage life of chilli var. KAU Cluster. High rates of NPK along with FYM increased the yield of chilli during all the three seasons when compared to organic fertilizers alone or inorganic fertilizers alone. The number and weight of unmarketable fruits, after 10 days of storage from harvest of green chillies increased with increasing rates of NPK along with FYM. [AS]
