Summary
Radioprotective effect of GA, IIA and 2,4-D on the germination of Chinese cabbage, lettuce, and red pepper seeds was investigated. Dosage of gamma-ray at 0, 500r, 2kr, and 24kr were given for 4 hours. Concentration of growth regulators, 100 ppm solution of GA, 50 ppm solution of IAA and 2,4-D were used. Radiosensitivity of Chinese cabbage was lower than lettuce and red pepper. At the dosage of 24kr, treatment of IAA and 2,4-D increased the radiation damage. IAA and 2,4-D treatment did not show any protective effect in lettuce seeds. GA and IAA treatments demonstrated marked protective effect in red pepper seeds. [AS/thh]
