Title
Diversity in soybean germplasm with drought resistance in Huang-Huai-Hai Valleys
Publication Date

Summary
In this study, 50 drought resistant soyabean germplasms selected from Huang-Huai-Hai Valleys in China were analysed under field drought condition. Results showed that there was diversity in drought resistance among soyabean germplasms at different developmental stages. Some varieties had drought resistance during their whole growing period, but some only at one or several stages. Some varieties had both drought resistance and high yield characteristics, while some had drought resistance, but lower yield characteristics. It was also found that some drought resistant germplasms showed high yield potentials under irrigated conditions.
