Abstract

S. melongena is also called eggplant and aubergine. Eggplant is most economic important solanceous crop. Chine is first in production of eggplant. It is very good source of vitamin B6, folate, vitamin K and niacin also provide nutrient like magnesium, potassium, phosphorus. S. aethiopicum can be classified into four main cultivar groups (Gilo, Kumba, Shum and Aculeatum). The two spotted spider mite is most destructive pest in agriculture. It’s larva, nymph and adult stage are damaging stage and suck the cell sap from leaf tissue with their piercing and sucking mouthparts. High temperature and dry conditions are suitable for the multiplication of spider mites. Use of one accession of S. aethiopicum (VI042748) and eight accession of S. melongena for screening of two spotted spider mite. In this three accession of S. melongena (VI044146, VI055280, VI055862) moderately resistant and remaining one accession of S. aethiopicum (VI042748) and five accession of S. melongena are moderately susceptible. The legume pod borer(Maruca vitrata) is a major destructive insect pest of lablab bean, common bean, mungbean, yard long bean and sesbania from flowering stage. Because farmers mostly rely on systemic pesticides to control this insect, it has developed resistance to some pesticides. B. thuringiensis formulations could become important components in an integrated pest management strategy for controlling M. vitrata. This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of selected Bt. Biopesticides against M. vitrata in laboratory condition. In bioassay used xentari, crymax, E-911 Bt. Biopesticides. Bioassay was conducted against M. vitrata second instar larvae. Probit analysis was used to determine LC50 and LC90 values for the treatments against larva. The study shows that xentari is less LC50 (125.44) and LC90 (172.28) value than crymax and E-911. So xentari is more efficacy than crymax and E-911. Crucifereae family include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, radish, mustard, pak-choi all are attacked by diamondback moth in every season. Beacause now-a-days diamondback moth is key pest for the brassica plants. Outbreaks of DBM in china sometimes cause more than 90% crop loss. These pests have developed resistance to practically all insecticides used in Asia. The main drawback of use insecticides are resurgence of the insect, non selective killing of harmless and beneficial species. In bioassay used xentari, crymax, E-911 Bt. Biopesticides Bioassay were conducted against DBM second instar larvae. Probit analysis was used to determine LC50 and LC90 values for the treatments against larva.
