abstract = {The time taken for H. undatus cv. Vietnam flower buds to reach anthesis (31.1 cm long) was 17 days. Anthesis occurred from sunset to the following sunrise and the flower reached its greatest diameter (23.4 cm) at around 01.00 h. Fruit growth showed a single sigmoid pattern. The red fruit (average weight 339 g) was harvested 33 days after anthesis and total soluble solids reached 19.5?Brix. Fruit weight could reach 487 g when fruits were harvested 50 days after anthesis, but the change in soluble solids during the period 33-50 days after anthesis was not significant.},
