000001228 520__ $$aIn leaves of ten cultivars of blackgram (Vigna mungo) viz. T-9, T-27, T-65, T-77, Mash 1-1, Mash-48, L 41-43, Co.1, No.55 and Khargoan, the blackgram mosaic virus caused a decrease in chlorophyll content, catalase activity and increase in peroxidase activity in comparison with their healthy counterparts. Chlorophyll content and peroxidase activity increased with the age of the plant but catalase decreased. Different cultivars varied in their response to infection. [AS]
